On 5 Things That Made Me Smile Today

One thing that's awesome about being on the other side of the world?

I get to say TGIF before you.

{But of course, I also have to say "crap, are you here again?" to Monday before you as well.}

A few thoughts and things that made me smile today:

1. These text messages:

"Oh but I did get this 50 inch flat screen to put in our common area or something like tht."

OKAY ERIN. REAL. CASUAL.

"We took home four haha."

...and at this point, I cry about how unfair life is because just a couple of months ago, Cassandra and I were rejected from Chelsea Lately, and all she gives the audience is an autograph. If that. {Although we still have our VIP tickets and are waiting for the perfect guest to use them on - hey J. Law, lemme know when you're on the publicity trail again.}

T - 2 weeks until I'm reunited with a 50-in. flat screen my three lovely suitemates.

2. The fact... that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis starred in two competing friends-with-benefits movies that came out within a year of each other ... and basically are living out the movies in real life. I can't tell if this is more Friends With Benefits, Dating the "Enemy," or Real Life Imitating Fiction.

3. Putting on fall clothes for the first time.

I mean, it was nowhere close to the cuteness factor of the outfit - it was more my comfiest sweatshirt and some ratty leggings - but hey, it still counts. Anything other than flip flops and a bikini counts at this point, I think.

{Thank you, sporadic bursts of chilly, rainy weather.}

4. This. And this. Plus, this. And now, I want to go have myself a FRIENDS marathon.

{And okay, I lied. These made me cry and smile at the same time.}

5. Looking into my photo archives for the month and finding this picture. From left to right, my sister, mom, me, and my grandma are reppin' our matching Toms! Because obviously, the family that wears the same shoe brand together, stays together!

No, this post was not sponsored by Toms. I wish that were the case!

Oh, and just a bonus point: my dad arrived last night! Yahoooooo!

Happy Weekend!
