a place that is special to me.
The Main Quad // Memorial Church
I was tempted to say...
North Carolina, the place of my birth and childhood.
Texas, the place of my teen years and the formation of my identity.
China, the place of my history and culture.
NYC, which has captured my heart.
My bed, which I love more than anything.
Madewell and J.Crew, which I want to throw all of money at.
Harry Potter World, which... no explanation needed.
But, I needed to say...
I've never known the idea of falling in love with a place,
until the summer before my junior year of high school,
when I was at Stanford for a writing camp.
On the very last day of the most magical three weeks,
three of my friends and I had just gotten some Jamba Juice,
and were heading back to our house on the Row.
It was so sunny and breezy - the prettiest of days,
and I looked down at my feet,
thinking that I would love more than anything
to walk through this plaza time and time again.
I'd never before felt more at home.
And I still have that feeling, every single day.
