Ramble de Rambly-Ramble

At the San Diego airport awaiting my flight back home to Houston in two hours. This is not bringing back great memories. But I promised myself that I'd get Quizno's and Starbucks (it's like deja vu...) at exactly 2:00 PM, so I have six minutes to express everything in my mind right now. Which is going to be really difficult because my mind is a gosh-darn mess right now.

First of all, I am exhausted. Emotionally, physically, mentally drained. It serves me right to try and deal with two major finals, a 12-page essay, and packing up my whole life here all in about a 48 hour period. It's practically impossible. I wrote my essay yesterday morning and then proceeded to pack, pack, pack. Up until 2 AM, the room just seemed to be getting messier and messier. Our stuff was multiplying! Room 217 defied all logic, lemme tell ya. Then, we took a nap until 5 AM on the floor, me using a bath towel for a blanket because everything was packed up.

Then, I had to wake up at 5 AM to finish packing, turn in my keys, get some Jamba, and then wake everybody up to say goodbye. I was running a little late (what else is new around here) and didn't get to say goodbye to a lot of people, so I'm thankful we had a great parting last night. My friends dropped me off at the SuperShuttle stop and I proceeded to bawl my eyes out. The driver thought I was graduating. I didn't correct him.

I have a huge tote bag with no zipper, a HEAVY duffel bag with no shoulder strap and no zipper, and two really big checked bags. It was like watching an ant carry a monster-sized cookie. And then I realized that I am an idiot, as I tossed my (what I thought to be) empty Jamba Juice cup into my tote bag and forgot about it until after I checked my bags. The lid had come off and there was Peach-Mango smoothie all over my cardigan, computer charger, Longchamp bag, and computer carrier.

Anyway, I don't think that it's actually hit me that I'm going to be at home for three months and that when I do go back to Stanford, I won't be going to Serra. I'm waiting for the moment when it hits and I become a crumpled mess in the most public place ever.

Time for some Passion Iced Tea and Chicken Carbonara! More details to come.
