5 Things On A Tuesday

1 :: They say that as a girl matures, she becomes more and more like her mother. Totally true, and totally fortunate, in my case. The only person on this planet who rivals me in nonstop photo documentation is my mother. She's headstrong and spirited and stubborn and hilarious. She's kind and generous and pretty much the best cook ever. Which is actually where the similarities end, because I in all honesty still don't get how to turn on a stove.

Long story short, my sister claims that my mom is my best friend, and I wouldn't have it any other way. A very happy birthday and a million kisses to my Mommy on her special day!
2 :: Thanksgiving Break. All good things. Rest and family and an abundance of food. Research papers, blissfully ignored. Ice cream cake, enjoyed. Hunger Games, watched in suspense. Wedding, excitedly chit-chatted about. Snuggly sweaters, purchased. Parents, hugged. And hugged and hugged. Friends, dearly missed.

3 :: I failed our international trivia to the nth degree. As in, it took me five whole minutes to remember the author of Les Miserables. I know a negative number of country flags. Am majorly clueless regarding all things global economy, exports, and history. However, I knew "the Australian actress who won an Oscar in 2014 for her role in Blue Jasmine" in 0.23498 milliseconds flat. Proud.
4 :: Know anyone at all residing in the Bay Area? Have their rain and rainbow and rainboots Instagrams been clogging up your feed like an unfortunate toilet situation? Welcome to my life, except I'm a happy contributor as well. This is what happens when we've been living through a drought for as long as we can remember. We flip. A. You know.

5 :: $120 big buckaroos, all yours for the taking. Come and get it, Selena Gomez.
