Study Break

I'm going to start off by saying: I can't exactly ... see straight right now. Such is the consequence of practically gluing your eyeballs to a computer screen for too many hours because you didn't read your assigned reading throughout the quarter and now must attempt to read a 700-page book in three days so as to write a half decent final/essay that's worth 2/3 of your grade. Solid, Caroline. Real solid. (Well, hypothetically. Because I'd never do something so idiotic...)

The good news is that the book is Tony Blair's autobiography, A Journey, and I am enthralled. Naturally, my favorite parts involved the magical monarchial fambam - but hey, I'm pleased that I even opened a nonfiction book. There were, of course, some dry passages (what do you expect - it's politics.) - but I laughed out loud more during this book than while reading Tina Fey's Bossypants, and that's saying something. (But not more than while reading Chelsea Handler's books - those had me convulsing in my chair and straight up choking on air.)

The other good news is, look - I'm not alone in my plight:

bike mania in front of the library. is it finals week or something?

Next order of business. I think I may have a knack for stumbling across the least scholarly of study spots in existence. Who knew a cavern complete with comfy couches and big-screen TVs w/ DVD players, VCRs, and even video game thingamabobs existed in a library? Oh, and did I mention it is feet away from the second largest collection of DVDs in the world? (The first is Netflix.)

herro!

But like all self-respecting bookworms, I had to come up with a few study breaks so that my brain won't spontaneously combust. My happy list: walks, sunshine, dirty chai, PEOPLE.com...

brownies.

naps.

grease.

and of course, suga suga how'd you get so flyyyy?

TGIF.
(Except not really, because it marks the first day of finals - ahhh!)
(But for the rest of you - I'm thanking God it's Friday for you.)
