See, here's what happens when I actually make a plan to stay at home,
be a good girl, and start some early studying for next week's midterms.
The universe will butt in and say, "nuh uh girlfriend, that type of lifestyle ain't for you."
{bad grammar & attitude & all.}
source unknown - let me know if you know!
Our dorm complex offered free midnight premiere tickets to Iron Man 3.
Did we take them? No.
I have two midterms next week, I was tired, looked nothing close to presentable,
oh and I haven't seen Iron Man 1 or 2 yet.
{Also, our Class of 2015 rented out an entire theater to let us watch The Great Gatsby
four hours before it gets released worldwide ... I love my school.}
Anyway, I digress.
All day yesterday, I said no.
No movies. Just studying.
All day today, I said no.
Study, study, Starbucks.
During our 7:30pm review session for a communications midterm -
no, I am not going to see Iron Man 3.
... but then I went to see Iron Man 3.
At 11:00pm.
Long story short, Cassandra's teammate was really desperate to go,
so we agreed to go with her & she even purchased the tickets.
Just as we pulled up to her dorm to pick her up,
she told us that a Computer Science emergency popped up,
and she wouldn't be able to go anymore.
We took the tickets, couldn't find anyone else to go with us,
and drove to the theater all by our lonesome -
we were a little bit grumpy from the thought of all the un-studied studying,
and because there were spring caterpillars all over the car,
and sad because Hanna wouldn't be able to watch with us,
but then we decided to grow up & go enjoy the darn movie.
Right as we were getting our tickets checked inside the movie theater,
I turn around and WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM,
who was standing behind me but the one and only MARK ZUCKERBERG?
We made eye contact and everything,
and that's when I knew - if the founder of Facebook is watching Iron Man 3,
I should be watching it too.
... and it was truly a fantastic movie.
Even without seeing the first two movies,
it was absolutely hilarious, the special effects were amazing,
and both Gwyneth Paltrow & Robert Downey Jr. were hot, hot, HOT.
{Here's a tip: stay past the credits - there's a special clip at the end!}
And now it's 2:38am, and my bed is calling.
Peace out Girl Scouts!
