My Stanford: CoHo

I thought it'd be fun to introduce tidbits of campus life to you guys every once in awhile.
Firstly, it's fun to document all of these places/traditions so I can remember them.
Secondly, I love all college campuses and finding all the places that students love, so if you're like me and are ever on Stanford campus - you can check these places out as well!

At Stanford, we shorten the names for everything. It's a bit ridiculous, actually.
We have: MemChu (Memorial Church), MemAud (Memorial Auditorium), ProFro (prospective freshman), RoHo (room host), GovCo (Governor's Corner)...
and one of my very favorites - CoHo (Coffee House)!

my sister came to visit me yesterday. i'm just loving this whole living close thing.
this is my meatball pasta.
i inhaled it.

this is her roasted veggies pasta.
i'm inhaling her leftovers now as we speak.

this is my iced chai.
it's been my favorite thing since i came to stanford for camp like three summers ago.
(yes, inhaled this too...)

My friends and I come here all the time. Once a week. At least. (It's perfect for people-watching.)
It's probably the closest thing to a real cafe on campus - if you come on the right day, there are poetry readings, jazz performances, any number of artsy "events."

Try:
any of the hot drinks.
any of the pastas (except for the ravioli... not the greatest).
the Chikadee sandwich.
the Fuhgeddabout it sandwich (basically a meatball sub).
the grilled cheese + tomato soup combo (it's our favorite!).

  9. We have a coho seafood restaurant back at home, so at first I thought it'd be about fish haha. But all of the shortened names are hilarious! That coffee does look pretty good :)
