On Philly Cheesesteaks and Friend Time

Last night was a great one.

We went grocery shopping at Walmart...

And then Nicky cooked up some smashingly delicious (don't ask me what that means, because I really don't know other than that it was really, really good) Philly cheesesteaks while Will made us some Brazilian lemonade. Since when did the guys I went to middle school with and will forever remember as scrawny and teensy with huge hair learn how to cook? And grocery shop? And drive? And do anything other than be scrawny and teensy with huge hair? It blows my mind!

Does that look amazing or what? The cheesesteaks were perfect! A+!

The Brazilian lemonade (an eclectic mixture of whole limes, sweetened condensed milk, and water) turned out... Interesting. It turned out looking really good, but was a tad too bitter and lime-y, most likely because we were missing a few key pieces of the puzzle: namely, a bigger blender and some ice. A+ for effort and there's always next time!

Then, there was a lot of pure hang out time. In Will's game room, just watching some TV, some lazin' about and talking, just like the old days. And of course, Cole stealing all of our phones as per usual.

I can't live without my frozen yogurt! We drove to Yogurt Bear and Mollie, Brina, and I talked and hung out while the boys played chess. Typical. My concoction: pomegranate-raspberry (yum!), cheesecake, and strawberry-banana with yogurt chips, almonds, and strawberries. As always, I abided by the $5 rule: you can't go under $5 or you lose!

Hanging out with my middle-school/high-school friends was a joy as always. There's just something about being with the people who have known you the longest, something that is cherished and priceless. And now, they cook for me. Win-win.
